I lead the development and execution of New York Life's General Account alternative investment strategy within the Office of the Chief Investment Officer, identifying differentiated investment opportunities and developing and commercializing innovative investment capabilities that enhance portfolio performance, optimize capital deployment, and support the firm's long-term strategic objectives. I lead the sourcing, evaluation, structuring, and management of investments across private equity, private credit, real estate assets, infrastructure, and other private market strategies, leveraging more than 25 years of experience leading large-scale institutional alternative investments, cultivating strategic partnerships with leading global asset managers, and bringing innovative investment solutions to institutional portfolios. I collaborate with investment, finance, legal, risk, and senior business leaders to originate transactions, conduct due diligence, negotiate investments, construct portfolios, and oversee ongoing performance. Working across the enterprise, I align investment strategy with capital, risk, and long-term business objectives, helping position alternative investments as a strategic driver of portfolio performance and enterprise value creation. Founded and led team of investment professionals, managing >$2BN AUM in private multi-sector equity co-investments and external mandates across a global investment portfolio. Investments span common equity, preferred equity, and credit investments. Led portfolio management across all aspects of deal lifecycle: deal origination alongside private equity sponsors/placement agents/direct-to-company, structuring, diligence and execution. From a portfolio management perspective, developed and implemented investment guidelines and policies/procedures in conjunction with internal partners and monitored portfolio of both private and public equity assets. New Business & External Mandates: Evaluated and engaged third party managers to assume various debt & equity exposures complementary to or as an extension to in-house capabilities.
