Collecting field notes and samples for later laboratory analysis from the Mer Bleue Bog in Ottawa as part of a research project for a Master's student concerned with carbon biogeochemical cycling at the bog.

Performed daily interactions with visitors to Parliament Hill to enrich their understanding and knowledge of Parliament Hill’s significance in Canadian history. Duties included greeting visitors, distributing tour tickets, announcing, assembling tours and guiding outdoor tours in French and English with Canadian and foreign tourists.

Renting and tuning up low and high end level bicycles to residents and tourists and selling the bicycles at the end of the season. Guiding children's school bicycle tours of up to 100 children and acting as the mechanic and First Aid certified guide on the tours.

Completed theoretical and hands on education concerning most environmental systems through class, field, lab, reports and presentations. Subjects included: environmental management, wetlands, biogeochemical cycling, limnology, soil science, running water environments, hydrology, basic global economics, modelling, cartography, remote sensing, geoweb, computer programming, biology, chemistry, calculus and statistics.
