* Audit import entry documentation received from customs brokers, including Customs Form 7501, assuring all information is accurate and discussing corrections with broker when necessary. * Review and approve broker invoices for payment. * Manage daily communication between custom brokers and importing site providing product classification, valuation, product origin or other shipment information as needed. * Manage Import for Export (IFE) shipments for Latin America product coming into US for sterilization. Ensure IFE product is exported within the time frame designated by FDA. * Provide HTS classification for imported product not in Global Trade Desktop (GTD). Enter any new items, classifications and supporting documentation into GTD. * Work with Regulatory as needed to obtain FDA product information and documentation for customs clearance. * Provide import compliance training to Hospira employees to educate them on the requirements for importing into the United States and provide an overview of our department (Customs and Trade Compliance) and our function within the company.
