Qianming Jiang

My name is Qianming Jiang, and you can also call me Charmy. I am a Ph.D. student of animal sciences at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign since Jan. 2020 and looking for a postdoc in Jan. 2024. I grew up in Guangzhou, a very beautiful international city in China. I finished my bachelor's degree in animal science at Hunan Agricultural University in 2019. After I graduated, I was supported by a China Scholarship (CSC) to purchase my Ph.D. degree in the USA. My advisor is Professor Juan Loor, who is an experienced researcher. In my studies, I have delved into ruminant nutrition by utilizing animal (cattle), tissue explant, and cell models to investigate the effects of nutrients on RNA, protein, and metabolites. I have employed a variety of techniques in my research, including RT-qPCR, western blot, metabolomics, lipidomics, RNA-seq, 16S sequencing, flow cytometry, ELISA, and histology.
