Jia Bo

I’m a Master’s student at Cornell Tech interested in building human-centered AI products across product, UX research, and behavioral data. At the core of everything I do is a simple question: does this actually work for people? Does it make sense, fit into their lives, and give them a reason to come back? At Cornell's People-Aware Computing Lab, I work on an AI mental health chatbot designed for older adults with cognitive impairment. My focus is on how people genuinely interact with the system — noticing the moments of confusion or drop-off, and turning those observations into meaningful improvements. What I love most about this work is the human side of it: asking the right questions, listening carefully, and finding the thread between what users truly need and what a product needs to succeed. That balance between real people and real business constraints is where I think the most interesting product decisions live. I'm looking to keep exploring that intersection through product, strategy, and UX research roles where insight drives what gets built.
