•Represent and support Compound Management functions while overseeing a team of direct reports •Fulfill compound requests for internal groups from multiple disciplines.  •Manage the receipt, storage and accurate inventory of compounds and reagents •Prepare plates/samples for biological and biophysical assays. •Operate and troubleshoot bench top instruments as well as automated liquid handling systems. •Collaborate with Research Informatics/IT to maintain a compound inventory tracking system.  •Continuously improve and automate compound management workflows in collaboration with research teams.  •Work effectively with multi-disciplinary groups and individuals to implement solutions that reflect operational efficiencies in terms of throughput, delivery, costs, as well as HSE considerations.  •Ensure that samples for advanced programs are only dispensed with appropriate authorization and documentation is maintained.

•Provide operational support for inventory control, receiving, registration, weighing, storing, sorting, inventory maintenance, labeling, distribution, and disposition of the Nurix compound collection and other critical reagents •Process sample requests for distribution, recording transactions and maintaining proper documentation using LIMS •Maintain inventory of supplies/consumables and deal directly with vendors to facilitate the ordering of new materials through purchasing systems •Assist with the maintenance, operation and support of sample storage equipment and the associated monitoring systems. * Design, plan, develop and execute routine Inventory Audit processes to maintain the Nurix Compound collection inventory accuracy. •Troubleshoot standard issues and address when a deviation occurs from normal workflows •Process sample requests for packing and shipment to CRO’s and collaboration partners.

Oversee day to day operations of an Oil and Gas testing ISO17025 laboratory. Responsibilities include management and wet lab analysis: •Hands-on bench work on petroleum products, running and setting up tests based on ASTM, IP, UOP, ISO Standardized methods. •Working with field and operations in reviewing laboratory needs for clients. •Troubleshoot instrumentation and make repairs when needed. Contact vendors and setup site visits for repair in cases when repairs cannot be completed in-house. •Complete Corrective and Preventative Action Reports to address areas of need or deficiencies to remain compliant with safety regulations and client standards. •Review laboratory data, quality control program, and proficiency testing submissions to ensure laboratory maintains high quality of work and efficiency.

•Led Oil & Gas laboratory to ISO17025 accreditation and oversaw quality control program. •Manage and coordinate laboratory functions for the branch. •Provide guidance, leadership and training to laboratory staff on routine matters. •Responsible for taking the necessary steps to ensure that all laboratory functions and resources are run safely, accurately and efficiently. •Works closely with Operations Department to obtain day-to-day analytical testing requirements based upon nominations received from clients in order to provide accurate, reliable results on a timely basis. Works directly with customers for laboratory submitted samples if required. •Uses judgment and discretion in directing, coordinating and scheduling the work activities of laboratory staff consistent with accepted operating practices and procedures, including periods during non-working hours, weekends and holidays. •Receives, compiles, and verifies the data resulting from laboratory analyses and ensures accurate and complete preparation of applicable reports as per standard procedures. •Works in conjunction with the Laboratory Director to maintain internal quality control /quality assurance program to ensure the use of standard laboratory practices.

•Perform testing following ASTM methods on petroleum products, assisting laboratory manager in upkeep of lab, training new lab personnel and communicating with management. •Serve as lead technician by performing all tests in lab and by training new employees. Testing done for quality on petroleum products ranging from diesels, gasoline, residual fuel, ethanol, etc. •Assist in maintaining a strict quality control program by detailed data keeping, running of control samples daily/weekly/monthly, and using a company developed laboratory management system known as POLARIS for live chart tracking. •Other duties included calibrating equipment, verifying thermometers/hydrometers, maintaining lab cleanliness, tracking chemical inventory, and gas cylinder supplies.

•Perform analysis in an ISO 9001:2008 laboratory, testing petroleum products following ASTM methods and company SOPs, operating 24 hours/7 days a week. •Primary responsibilities consisted of overseeing and running entirety of laboratory activities while on duty. Tasks included: receiving and logging samples into database, running client specified tests, checking/troubleshooting instruments prior to use, compiling data and generating certificate of analysis. •Maintain a clear line of communication between inspection side and operations side to ensure quick and timely turn around on results and maximize efficiency while in laboratory. •Instrumentation utilized involves the following: Inductively Coupled Plasma Spectrometer, Total Nitrogen Analyzer, Gas Chromatographs, Density Meter, Distillation units, Antek 9000, and several others; software programs utilized include Chromeleon and Chemstation.

•Enforced paid parking by monitoring lots and issuing notices for failure to pay to generate revenue, achieving high marks and increased sales at new lots. •Assist customers with questions about area, parking, and instruct on use of pay stations. • Control and manage flow of customers during events, by communicating with onsite staff and other colleagues.

•Supervised laboratory sessions ensuring that safety protocols were followed. •Facilitated in the proper execution of experiments and the correct use of instrumentation. •Collaborated with a Professor and other TAs to identify and address any issues concerning experiments or student performance.

Pursuing additional studies in an effort to gain knowledge in computer science by taking a variety of courses, such as JAVA, UNIX/LINUX, Python.
