About
I have over seven years' experience as a support worker in the non-profit sector. I am volunteering at the Evelyne Saller Centre in the Downtown Eastside. I enjoy creating inclusive, safe spaces for people to explore their creativity. I have worked with low-income people, the homeless, Indigenous people, the elderly, people with mental health issues, co-occurring disorders, those who struggle with substance abuse, and federal parolees. I am enrolled in an undergraduate degree at UBC where I am majoring in Sociology, and minoring in Creative Writing. I am passionate about civil rights and social justice issues. As such, my goal is to pursue a Masters of Social Work after my undergraduate degree is completed. I'm in the Arts Co-op Program at UBC and I'm looking for a co-op position with a non-profit organization.
