• Teaching years 8-10 parallel and accelerated English courses • Teaching year 11-12 Advanced English for the HSC -Creating new units of work suited to specified modules -Developing seminars on exam preparation, creative writing, and literary theory • Teaching English Fundamentals to assist students, both native and non-native speakers, who struggle with reading comprehension, composition, and other skills required in the study of English • Tutoring, one-on-one of ESL students for intensive language development, including grammar, vocabulary, and conversational skills • Coordinating the assessment and curriculum for year 10 English -Creating and preparing common assessment tasks, including School Certificate style exams -Developing a comprehensive approach to year 10 literature, reflecting the concerns and requirements of the NSW syllabus -Advising colleagues in regards to classroom activities, informal and formal assessment, and teaching strategies -Record-keeping for the year-group, regarding marks,rankings, sample tasks, and past papers

My MCS research focused on the ways in which Wendell Berry uses the poetic mode to develop a theology of "place" that anticipates Protestant biblical theologies of the land, while working against the American wilderness tradition.
