Examined populations of Petrogale xanthopus xanthopus in the Gammon Ranges, Flinders Ranges and Olary Hills of South Australia using aerial survey data. From this, changes in population dispersion were used to derive average dispersion distances and to assess landscape connectivity. The second part of the study focused on assessing the persistence of P. x. xanthopus populations and to determine what is required to restore these fragmented populations using a spatially-explicit individual-based Population Viability Analysis.
