I am so excited to be working with the CNSA cultural committee, who are responsible for promoting diversity in the nursing profession. We want to promote the respect and inclusion of nurses from both genders and all ethnicity. As a goal, we celebrate diversity together by highlighting prominent ethnic groups in California, and promoting key nursing figures that represent excellence and diversity in nursing. * Children First!... as we say in this district. My other duties include: * Administer, document, and keep track of all medications given and held in the facility I am assigned. * Provide First aid for Schools, using California School Nurses Organization guidelines. * Document all office visits (average 20 students per day). * Document, track, and report communicable diseases. * Management of asthma, diabetes, and epilepsy in the school setting. Administer emergency care - Glucagon injections, asthma inhalers, Diastat and epinephrine per prescription and protocol. * Playground safety. * Work with the district Health Care team via email. * Work and collaborate with school administration on a daily bases.

* Assess a patient’s condition and ordering diagnostic tests to develop, plan and implement patient care plans with team. Administer intravenous fluids and medications. * Provide advanced life support with ICU/RR team using nursing standards, training, and protocols. * Ensure that ventilators, cardiac pumps, pacemakers, ICP monitors, and other types of medical equipment function properly. * Assisting physicians in performing procedures. * Treat wounds according to current nursing standards, training and protocols. * Complete Critical Care training. * Collaborate with fellow members of the critical care team. * Act as patient advocate. * Providing education, support, and resources to patient families.

* Coordinated and co-led monthly meetings. * Increased and maintained enrollment. * Coordinated activities along with leadership, including: * Monthly NCLEX Reviews with Dr. Tuso * New student orientations * Annual State Convention Trip 2013 * Volunteer events in local community * Fundraising * Created template for developing and recording agendas and minutes. * Used computer access to email information in real time, improving ease of access for both leaders and members.

* Clerical duties * including answering phones, maintain employee and office files, light cleaning, uphold professional relationships with classified and faculty employees. * Chemical Safety and Awareness * use, update, post MSDS for staff and students. Certified. * Order and maintain chemical inventory. * Prepare and maintain chemicals, both live and preserved specimens for classroom use.

* Special Services Department * Detailed customer service, special orders, case management, the return or sale of merchandise. Special Services Supervisor position * train associates, create and maintain associate schedule. Maintain inventory. Answer directly to management.
