I am a fully qualified Mechanical Maintenance Engineering Technician. I have completed my NVQ Diploma in Process Engineering Maintenance - Mechanical Engineering. I have also completed my Level 3 BTEC covering Engineering Drawing, Engineering Maths, Mechanical Principles and Health and Safety. I have completed my HNC (Level 4) to a Distinction level covering Maths, Engineering drawing, Engineering design, Thermodynamics, Engineering Science, Projects, Electrical Principles and Mechanical Principles. During my 3 year Apprenticeship with Kimberly Clark I have been able to excel in Mechanical engineering, working on a variety of mill equipment and machinery; Centrifugal pumps, Positive Displacement pumps, Ball and Roller Bearings, Taper bearings, Taper locks, Washers, Tab washers, Conveyors, Couplings, Spider couplings, Tyre couplings, Coupling Laser Alignment, Pulleys, Chains, Timing belts, Vee belts, Sprockets, Gears, Hydraulics and Pneumatics, 2 pass Cylinders, Permit to work, ‘Other’ Permits (Hot work, Height, Operational/Non-Operational Lifting), LOTTO Procedures, PPE, Risk Assessments, Problem solving skills, Teamwork, Leadership, Communication and Safe working. Safety Documents I have used on site include Permit To Work, Lifting Operations Permit, Hot Work Permit, Confined Space Permit, Work At Heights Permit etc and Risk Assessments, which was on every PTW at a combined document. I have used SMOCS, SOP’s and 4SPS during my time at Kimberly Clark and am competent with using each of these documents. I had then moved onto a new adventure after my redundancy at Kimberly Clark and began a new role at Meadow Foods in Chester, working on equipment such as: Homogenisers, Separators, Pasteurisers, Actuator valves, butterfly valves, WAL packer, Case closer and Case erector machines, Pneumatic robot, Palletisers, Chillers, Air compressors, Steam lines, Tank agitators, Motors, Belt drives, Vee-belt drives and pulleys, TIG welder. I am now working for Shotton Mill ltd as a Mechanical Technician. I am currently based in the project cabins helping with the SAP Project for a year, building functional locations for all equipment that will be used as spares, following P&ID Drawings, identifying different parts of the process’s determine what are assets.
