* NYS Certified Application Counselor. * Responsible for assisting clients obtain health insurance by determining the best plan based on individual needs, prescriptions and affordability. * Determine healthcare eligibility and provide cost analysis of plan types based on household size and income. * Ability to explain Cost Share Reduction and Advanced Premium Tax Credit. * Knowledge of Special Enrollment Periods and Qualifying Events for eligibility outside the NYS Annual Open Enrollment Period. * Facilitate the enrollment process. * Educate the consumer on products available through the Marketplace to include Child Health Plus, Medicaid and Essential Plans along with Independent Health's individual products. * Schedule appointments with clients and meet with walk-ins on a daily basis. * In-dept knowledge of the Affordabe Care Act, NYS Guidelines and HIPAA Laws.
