Leadership: 14 out of the last 18 years performing as a growing high performing leader with FirstEnergy, coupled with parallel 20 years of military service gaining leadership experience and training from 1994 to 2015. Focused on cultivating high-performing, ethically guided organizations. Senior supervisory skills to create and maintain a positive climate with high expectations and adherence to organizational policies and developing Leading with Safety across the organization. Lead a cross-functional team to build a new Near Miss / Good Catch reporting process that is currently utilized across all Operating Companies. Strategic Planning: 7+ years of experience at the Director and General Manager level, responsible for over 200 employees and 250+ substations. Focused on delivering reliability through completing regulatory work and formulating innovative approaches which position the organization to achieve long-term interests for Grid Modernization. Key stakeholder in supporting both budget and portfolio from the individual service center up to the OPCO level. Currently responsible for the Bulk Electric System Transmission Line maintenance and safe operations for two state area of Ohio & Pennsylvania, over 11,500 miles of high voltage transmission lines operated between 69kV to 500kV. Partnership Development: Adept at developing strategic relationships and leading multi-disciplinary teams to collaborate across boundaries and achieve common goals. I have been a member of various cross-discipline teams from the Human Performance Improvement team, FirstEnergy Substation Specification standards, Ohio Operations Safety governance, regional budget governance, Green Team Chair, and Incidence Avoidance team. Organizational Management: Committed to continuous improvement through sustained engagement, risk management, and quick capitalization of opportunities to overcome challenges and position the organization for future success. Including keeping substation focused on regulatory compliance commitments from multiple internal and external organizations as those requirements increase exponentially. Developing employees to fulfill their needs and further themselves by striving to enhance diversity through hiring, supported the initial Veterans and Allies Employee Business Resource Group leadership committee and still support with mentorship, all while demonstrating ethical values and behaviors.
