Localization Project Manager @ HYPERGRYPH
About
Hello there and wish you a good day! This is Jensen Li. I was born and grew up in Shanghai, China. I studied Food Science in Shanghai University for 7 years during my whole university life, including my Bachelor‘s and Master's degree, and have also published several research papers on SCI. Although I changed my career into Internet industry after graduation, which is totally different from what I have studied, I believe that the abilities of logical thinking and project management which have been trained could be a great help in my future life. I love learning foreign languages. During my university life, I've obtained the highest certificates in both Japanese (JLPT-N1) and Korean (TOPIK-II Level-6). Also, I've been improving my English all the time, and passed the hardest English exam in China (TEM-8) and achieved a 'Good'. Meanwhile, I know only the foreign language skill is not enough for me to get a higher achievement in job career, so I have had a systematic study in Project Management and got a PMP Certification, which can help me consider and practice better. I have a strong enthuisiasm towards game localization and translation from my childhood. As a Ioyal player of Pokémon, I have been playing the series for more than 20 years. At that time, there's no official Simplified Chinese version, so I could only find strategy and instruction online to help me experience the whole game deeply. (Fortunately, my father is an experienced Japanese translator and I could ask for his help hahahaha.) So from that time, the thought of participating in game localization was growing up in my mind. I entered game industry (currently, working in Hypergryph, which is the producer of Gacha mobile game 'Arknights' and 'Arknights: Endfield') in 2020 and have been engaged in two different positions, which are 'Visual Art Vendor Manager' and now 'Localization Project Manager'. The two positions I'm interested in can give full play to my abilities of foreign languages and project management, which I can also improve these abilities in practice as well. I love translation and paperwork, and also the game industry suits me very well, so I determine to develop myself in localization of game industry constantly. My specialities include but not limited to communications in foreign languages, project management, multitasking, etc. I'm still enthusiastically enriching my knowledge of localization and globalization. Thanks a lot for taking time to read my words. Wish we could be good partners and friends in the future ;)
