Reporting to the ADM, Safe, Fair and Healthy Workplaces Division this position plans, leads and provides strategic direction for a diverse group of cross functional services staff who support province wide initiatives and processes. Provide leadership over branch administrative processes including budget and forecasting, contract administration, facilities and equipment management, project support, human resources, data reporting and training projects.

In the Business Integration Branch; Safe, Fair and Healthy Workplaces Division; I design, implement, and oversee innovative training programs to enhance employee skills, engagement, and career growth. Collaborating with department leaders to identify learning needs, develop and implement training solutions, and measure the impact of initiatives. Manage a team of seven skilled training professionals: providing guidance, developing a strategic plan to support division, and incorporating feedback to ensure program excellence.

Training and Development role in Business Integration Branch of Safe, Fair and Healthy Workplaces Division in Jobs, Economy and Trade. Support safe, fair and healthy workplaces by developing evidence-based training.

Analyze needs and develop training resources and logistics plans to support implementation of Workday HCM/ERP software for 550 City of Leduc employees. Collaborate with various Change Managers to support successful adoption of new processes by employees. Reduced Instructor Led Training sessions by 85% by developing e.learning module to train end users on high frequency tasks and functions to be completed in Workday.

Developed a training business unit, strategic plan, and logistics mapping, and recruited, coached team of 4 trainers throughout various regions in Canada. Hired, managed, and developed training team. Conducted needs assessments and formulated and managed project plans. • Implemented and standardized biweekly onboarding program for all new hires, increasing new employee productivity and retention rates and reducing workload for business teams (IT, Safety, HR). • Developed curriculum; completed 11 of 21 training program creation goals in one year, including eLearning, virtual, monthly, leadership development, safety topics, new hire, and job specific skills. • Strategized and supported business goals during major growth phase; developed training program and policies, including bi-weekly onboarding. • Collaborated with internal stakeholders to provide recommendations and strategic planning on training.

Developed and implemented emergency management and personal security training for ministry staff. Acted as coordinator of emergency management communications system and incident tracking software. • Performed as alternate business continuity officer and consequence management officer unit resource for emergency incidents. • Finalized facility emergency response planning template and guide, creating training and implementation materials.

• Collaborated to rebuild 32-day Telecommunication Technician training program • Created online database, improving access to resources and maximizing technician performance. • Facilitated training using technology, including Skype, Live Meeting, or eLearning Modules, addressing business demands and remaining flexible while providing quality instruction. • Identified gaps, engaged stakeholders, and maintained consistent standards by proactively developing communication policies and processes.

Conducted safety training of frontline staff, management and external stakeholders in the following: - Health and Safety Management Systems (HSMS); - Safety Program Development; WHMIS; - Hazard Assessments; Workplace Inspections; - Incident Investigations; Musculoskeletal Injury Prevention (MIP); - Various Train-the-Trainer courses; - Joint OHS; Safety Leadership; - COR Auditor. • Performed peer coaching and internal training. • Promoted a positive safety culture through training by utilizing various and creative safety activities healthcare facilities.

• Redesigned youth advocacy program in 3-months, increasing engagement through alternative outreach campaign and generating 36K website votes from Alberta Youth. • Travelled throughout Alberta and hosted educator events, informing schools of resources available and soliciting feedback on youth programming. • Applied for and was awarded government grant for $320K, facilitating program initiatives continuance. • Organized 3-day tobacco stakeholder workshop and prepared presentation materials for panel discussions, • Used judgement to anticipate program changes needed to meet goals.
