Jennifer Gootman
Global Head of Sustainability & ESG Strategy @ TORY BURCH
About
I advise CEOs, boards, and executive teams on how to translate sustainability ambition into enterprise strategy, operational results, and long-term value creation. Over 15+ years, I have built and led ESG, climate, circularity, and responsible sourcing strategies for global consumer and retail brands—embedding sustainability into core business decisions across product, supply chain, technology, finance, and governance. My work sits at the intersection of data, ethics, and creativity. I design strategies that mitigate risk, unlock growth, and improve operational efficiency while standing up to investor, regulatory, and consumer scrutiny. This includes enterprise climate and materials strategies, board-level ESG governance, and systems that turn complex value-chain data into decision-useful insight. I have led the development of first-of-their-kind materials and carbon intelligence platforms, established science-aligned Scope 1–3 decarbonization roadmaps, and launched margin-accretive circularity and value-recovery programs across global supply chains. In parallel, I help organizations translate performance into credible narratives—supporting investor communications, regulatory disclosures, and consumer-facing sustainability claims. I am also an Adjunct Clinical Professor at NYU Stern, where I teach Sustainability for Competitive Advantage, and a regular advisor to executive teams and boards on values-based business transformation.
