I have responsibility for the development and implement the overarching equality and diversity & inclusion strategy. I ensure that the principles of equality, diversity and inclusion are embedded in the culture of the organisation and provide advice and guidance in relation to its responsibilities as a Church, an employer and as a provider of services. I work closely with Directors, Heads of Service, internal and external stakeholders to ensure that sound equality practices are embedded across the organisation. I provide advice in relation to national and regional issues and developments including legislation, and implement local solutions as appropriate. I set equality targets and priorities for the organisation and monitor performance against targets and plans. I ensure compliance with equality legislation. I lead on issues of equality, diversity and inclusion for the Salvation Army Housing Association

Advise and support Newham Police by providing independent specialist strategic advice in order to help them to understand the impact of their policing on different communities. Enhance consultation and communication across different communities to ensure that community issues are raised and understood. Provide independent advice during critical incidents
