I delivered ADL focused interventions to clients according to their plan of care. I gained valuable experience working with various types of adaptive and medical equipment in a SNF setting. Team work, efficiency and productive therapeutic techniques were emphasized.

I supported children with a variety of disabilities in attaining their treatment goals. I was responsible for initiating original, effective treatment activities for autistic and ADHD clients. I worked with an experienced therapy team, including PTs and SLPs.

I provided hand/upper extremity interventions and exercises to post surgical patients according to their treatment plans.

My education and experiences at Daytona State College gave me an excellent foundation to start my career in occupational therapy. I was exposed to various events, fieldwork and educational opportunities in pediatrics, geriatrics and mental health. At the University of Central Florida, I was given an extensive course of study on children with disabilities. My teaching internships gave me experiences with elementary and middle school aged children with a variety of disabilities. The focus of my degree was intellectual disabilities, however many of the children I worked with had more than one diagnosis.
