•Supported both Ralston & Post Foods co packing needs on private label & branded projects. Served as a liaison between the plant, corporate, and the co-packers. •Negotiated contracts & toll fees with co-packers with focus on alignment around cost, quality, and performance expectations. •Ensured compliance to contracted allowable ingredient usage and waste factors with a focus on ongoing savings due to improved manufacturing practices. •Calculated losses over allowable limits and billed co-packers back when appropriate. •Negotiated increases in conversion costs for less than minimum runs. •Lead cross functional groups to coordinate the set up & commercialization of external projects. •Lead monthly reviews with co-packers to review inventory variances and to talk about action plans to address chronic issues. •Calculated pricing with finance for products made in house other branded companies was responsible for determining quarterly pass throgh adjustments for materials. •Gathered information from external manufacturers for potential projects to determine feasibility for special packs & brand adjacencies to see if they could meet margin requirements in the P&L. •Managed all sample pack projects for Post Foods consumer promotion & sampling events.

•Responsible for order management for a number of customers. •Communicated with customers regarding fill, pricing, and on-time issues. •Researched and resolved customer deductions as needed. •Applied payments to the corresponding invoices in JDE. •Researched and reported to the appropriate people any recurring issues in an effort to find root cause and an ongoing solution.

•Responsible for determining the raw material needs on a daily basis for 20 products made at the Sparks, NV location and releasing the appropriate supplies from corporate contracts. •Worked with three branded cereal companies to procure the raw materials for all skus made at the Sparks manufacturing location. •Communicated with corporate buyers on contract, supply, and vendor issues. •Participated in Ralston ingredient team activities involving trips to suppliers for improving communication from a quality and procurement standpoint. •Built and maintained all Bills of Material, including trouble-shooting when actual usage didn’t match projected usage. •Worked with trucking companies to negotiate freight rate discounts and to reduce the amount of money spent on inbound freight. •Managed inventory levels to reduce the demurrage charges paid to the railroad each month due to excessive inventory. •Developed an Excel program to calculate monthly ingredient demand and shortages that was used for determining order timing and quantities prior to Ralston’s JDE implementation. •Super-User for three teams for the Ralston Foods JDE project: Transportation, Procurement, and Shop Floor. •Served as a local resource to the Sparks administrative personnel on JDE questions and issues.
