Principal operating and strategic leader of the California Yacht Club, a Platinum yacht club based in Marina del Rey, California. Club includes a world-class sailing program, championship rowing, a 350 slip marina, dry dock boat storage, paddle sports, a fine dining venue, casual food options, bar and full-service catering options. Key accomplishments include restructuring leadership and management of Club operations. Returned the Club to profitability through technology upgrades, optimizing personnel expenses and tailoring programming to align with member preferences. Developed the Community Connections Initiatives to expand diversity, equality and inclusion at the Club including strategic partnerships with The Boys and Girls Clubs, Black Girls Surf, the Clean Ocean Initiative, and Compton College.

Key advisor and resource to the Company’s eight-member Board of Trustees ensuring that the trustees exercise their fiduciary duties to the Company’s shareholders. Ensures that the corporate records reflect the exercise of those fiduciary duties and board and corporate actions are duly authorized and approved. Major Accomplishments: Converted the distribution of board materials, evaluations, and annual compliance questionnaires from printed to electronic format with the Diligent board portal, increasing document security and eliminating expenses for printing and postage. Reduced corporate secretary staff time needed to prepare board and committee materials using the Diligent board portal. Implemented the use of electronic signatures for all board documents. Established standard agendas for the board and board committees to provide a consistent review of standing business and agenda items. Implemented the annual review of committee charters, board policies and delegations to ensure compliance with applicable standards and best practices. President and principal operating officer of the iconic Los Angeles Athletic Club located in Downtown Los Angeles. The multi-story club included full fitness facilities, an olympic size pool, professional basketball court, spa services, multiple dining venues, bar, co-working facilities, catering services, and a 120 room full-service hotel. Lead a team of over 100 employees and helped restore club services following the end of pandemic-related restrictions. Grew membership by more than 10%. Recruited key leadership roles to address the needs of a growing membership base.

Selected Accomplishments: • Diligenced single and portfolio real estate transactions, including environmental, title, land use, governmental, leasing and finance-related issues. • Streamlined the Company’s transactional documentation, which reduced the time to negotiate and execute a transaction by 30%. • Structured and negotiated complex sale-leaseback transactions with leading financial institutions, including substitution, early termination, and expansion rights • Internalized the formation and maintenance of the Company's 600 subsidiaries and affiliates, saving more than 80% in annual administrative expenses. • Created a full-service, in-house legal function from scratch that included 8 attorneys, 4 paralegals, and administrative staff. • Developed an electronic claims and incident reporting function, improving responsiveness to property risks and identifying risk patterns and trends.
