Team Leader for design and development of powertrain adaptation components and systems for the Fisker Karma high end series hybrid vehicle. Direct supervision of 5 engineers and 3 designers. Directed powertrain components packaging in vehicle and Technical Lead for powertrain vehicle integration for air induction, fuel, cooling, and exhaust systems. Key Achievements: Successfully managed costs, weight and investment for powertrain, controls and adaptation. Led development of a unique cooling system for hybrid electronics and battery thermal concerns. Managed coordination of APQP, component timing, and technical resource allocation for commercial issues. Oversee and provide leadership for development of test plans and validation schedules for diesel to CNG fuel system conversion on Class 6-8 vehicles. Key Achievements: Technical Leader for all CNG fuel rail including simultaneous engineering between design, service and validation; development of DFMEA and DVP&R. Proactively lead sourcing of new suppliers with development of statements of work; led APQP process with selected suppliers. Spearhead vehicle level DVP&R, various test plans on fuel system, and development of statements of work for all outside testing houses. Supervise, train, mentor, and manage performance of junior engineers in Validation Group.
