As AJMN’s Senior Internal Auditor, my key responsibilities included: assisting the Department Head in the development of an internal risk-based audit strategy and annual audit plan as well as monitoring its implementation; conducting financial, operational, and compliance audits of AJMN’s international channels, hubs and bureaus. I am involved in all phases of audit from planning, fieldwork, writing audit reports, discussion and communication of audit results up to performing follow up activities. Apart from these, I am also the: -Single point of contact with Talent and Training Department – prepares and monitors the annual training plan for the Internal Audit function. -Budget Champion - prepares and monitors the annual Internal Audit budget -TEAMMATE software administrator and super user – create audit projects and utilize the system for Planning, Fieldwork and Reporting of each audit engagement. -The only non-Arab speaking nationality to be part of AJMN’s Internal Audit Directorate

As a Mentor, my key roles and responsibilities are: - Conduct professional-level review program in the field of accounting. Areas of instruction include theory of accounts, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and financial accounting and reporting. - Responsible for preparing and delivering lectures, leading and moderating classroom discussions, and administering and grading examinations. - Assess the performance of reviewees and their readiness to take the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) examination.

As Senior Auditing Specialist of the two-man Internal Audit Department, I play a pivotal role in helping to add value and improve the company’s business processes. I am responsible in the preparation of the Internal Audit Plan and annual department budget. I am involved in all phases of the audit assignment from the planning stage, fieldwork, writing audit reports, closing conference, communicating final reports to Senior Management up to follow up activities. I am continuously finding ways to strengthen and streamline the Internal Audit function and my key accomplishments to date are: 1. Developed the following: -Internal Audit Charter and Code of Ethics -Internal Audit Organizational Structure and Job Descriptions -Internal Audit Policies and Procedures -Internal Audit Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) -Internal Audit Feedback Survey -Internal Audit Reports Database and Issue Tracker and various other forms 2. Gained access to the accounting system previously restricted only to operational units. 3. Selected to be part of the company’s network of Coaches, Mentors and In-house Trainers.
