Jeffrey Xia

I’m a dedicated academic and self-made entrepreneur in business school aiming to pursue an impactful career applicable to my diverse interests in STEM and business. Currently studying my B.Com at the Smith School of Business @ Queen’s University, I have competed in 7+ case competitions (with many awesome wins) both within Queen’s and Nationally. Additionally, I have had experiences pitching stocks, working with non for profits, technology startups, and Queen’s medical research. Currently, I am working with a team composed of researchers, grad students (PhD, MS, MEng) and other undergrad students to model how Queen’s healthcare research could be brought to market as an accelerated business with the goal of increasing physical activity in children and youth with cerebral palsy (CP). I love being challenged, especially under pressure in situations where I have to think both creatively and logistically. On-the-spot intense Q&A sessions where industry-professionals question our proposals and recommendations during case competitions are among my favourites. Ready to learn, eager to question the world.
