Corporate Training Sales Workforce, Corporate and Continuing Education

I coordinated activities to meet program objectives, which included counseling and advising students, developing and teaching workshops and seminars, recruiting students and prospective students, planning and implementing special events and trips, making classroom presentations, maintaining records both in and out of the data base, acting as a liaison to internal and external entities to enhance the program and increase enrollment, and more.

I administered the boarding program. I also concurrently provided academic and/or guidance counseling, as well as cross-cultural, personal, and spiritual counseling to the multicultural students and staff. In my earliest years at Mountainview I also taught (secondary math & science) and parented boarding students. I also coached both the men and women's soccer and swimming teams for several years. Finally, during my time at Mountainview a new elementary school was built, as well as a new multi purpose pavillion, and both gymnasiums were re-engineered and relocated. I was priviledged to participate in many of the decisions regarding these development/construction projects.

I managed/developed dealer accounts in TX, OK, & LA as the (factory) distributor salesman. I also handled customer service and warranty calls in this area. I also assisted national sales manager in other distributor's territories (CO & AZ) & at national trade shows. I assisted teaching product/sales training schools held at the factory for all other North American distributors' sales personnel.

I developed and managed client accounts. Sales were made in a wide assortment of industrial material handling and storage equipment products used in solving the client's storage or material handling problems. Typically I designed and engineered storage or handling solutions to solve the clients' problems. I specialized in automobile (& other vehicle) parts storage.

Master of Arts in Education-Counseling (multicultural), or more commonly known as the CBB (Community Based Block) program.

My earliest academic interests were in Ecology and Environmental issues, although from an economic perspective. This is why I majored in Economics. However, during my undergraduate years my interest shifted more towards economic development, and finally focused on the history of economic development, and the factors that lead to development.
