Built the organization from scratch, rapidly assembling a lean, high-caliber team of 25+ with a deliberate strategy of leveraging JDM partnerships and manufacturing expertise in China. • Operated with full P&L-style accountability across the business unit, with indirect leadership spanning Portfolio Management, UX & Design, Operations, GTM, Finance, and Legal • Served as Sonos' leading example of the business unit operating model, designing the organizational structure and ways of working that others looked to emulate • Set the long-range strategy and 3–5+ year roadmap for the Portables category, balancing near-term delivery with longer-horizon innovation bets • Conceived and led development of the Sonos Play (launched 2026)

Direct product development leader for Beam, a landmark product for Sonos. • Led Beam (Sonos' first compact, affordable soundbar) end-to-end from concept through mass production, serving as system architect across acoustics, electronics, mechanical, RF, software, and DSP. Beam went on to become one of the top-selling soundbars in the world. • Led the research program that generated the product concept and technical foundation for Move, Sonos' first portable, weather-resistant smart speaker, pioneering a new category of premium portable audio • Led the development of Sonos' next-generation hardware UI, transitioning the entire product portfolio from mechanical buttons to capacitive touch controls • Managed all engineering disciplines, schedules, cost, and technical tradeoffs; served as primary decision-maker for the product development team

Progressed from individual contributor to senior technical leader across a 9-year tenure at Draper, a premier defense and aerospace R&D lab, working on ultra-miniature systems, advanced sensors, and novel system architectures for government and defense customers.

Analog, digital, and mixed signal circuit design and PCB layout for 0-20GHz radio astronomy applications. Job required knowledge of several phases of the design process, including component selection, schematic design, PCB design, PCB fabrication, both manual and pick and place PCB assembly, circuit debugging, and cost analysis. Indirect management of two part time employees was another duty of this position.
