Thread Logic is a custom logo embroidery company helping other companies and organizations promote and advertise themselves with embroidered products. I worked in marketing positions of both large corporations and small start-up companies before starting Thread Logic from scratch in 2002. Our primarily target market is small to medium sized businesses in the United States. We use the Internet as our primarily marketing tool. When measured in sales, Thread Logic is in the Top 10 percent of custom embroidery companies in the United States.

The Great Northern Union Chorus (GNU) is an internationally acclaimed, auditioned men's a cappella chorus based in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area, drawing members and audience from throughout the Midwest. The Great Northern Union is recognized for its outstanding sound, energetic performances and stellar administration. In addition, the GNU works very hard to promote and encourage young people to sing in addition to helping music educators grow their choral programs.

Brassworks was a 40-piece all-brass marching and performing ensemble organized as a non-profit corporation. We primarly performed in parades and at community festivals in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Iowa. In our ten years, we performed for over 1 million people in over 150 events. We also self-produced two CD recordings.

My first day on the job the Board of Directors fired the CEO that had hired me. That led to a reorganization that resulted in a layoff of 40 people, including myself. Best thing that ever happened to me professionally.
