Jeff McMillan

I am an executive leader at the intersection of financial services, technology, and artificial intelligence. Over the past 25 years, I have had the privilege of scaling global organizations, delivering enterprise-wide digital and data transformations, and helping shape how AI is applied inside one of the world’s leading financial institutions. Under my leadership, Morgan Stanley has been at the forefront of AI innovation and application and a pioneer in the practical use and adoption of large language models in our business. At Morgan Stanley, I serve as Head of Firmwide AI, where I’ve led the rollout of secure generative AI platforms to 80,000 employees and helped deliver a meaningful number of production AI solutions across institutional securities, wealth management, operations, HR, legal, and marketing.Previously, as the Chief Analytics & Data Officer for Wealth Management, I built and scaled Next Best Action, the industry’s first ML-powered personalized advice engine, which became central to client engagement and success. Previously, I held senior roles at Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley, where I led global research initiatives, digital platforms, and large-scale integrations. I am also currently an adjunct professor at Columbia University’s School of Management where I teach AI in Financial Services. I graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point, where I earned a BS in economics. Upon graduation, I served on active duty as an Armor Officer and scout platoon leader stationed in South Korea and Fort Knox.
