Goudsmit Magnetic Supplies forms part of the Goudsmit Magnetics Group operating worldwide, a family business incorporated in 1959 with branches in The Netherlands, France, Germany, UK, Czech Republic and China. In the food and egg processing industry STAALKAT has gained the reputation of being a manufacturer of products of the highest quality and performance. Our product programme covers a complete range of machines and equipment for egg handling and grading and has been designed to provide production facilities with a high degree of flexibility and efficiency. All products pass an extensive test in our facilities before being shipped to customers located in every corner of the world. New products are constantly being developed and considerable emphasis has always been placed on innovation and product functionality. An unflagging focus on R&D is the only way in which we can continue to design and supply total solutions for our customers.

Assigned by HQ in the US in 2009, I have taken part in the establishment of a sales- and distribution structure in the Netherlands, serving customers in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Together with my direct colleague/partner we started the project with limited capital, limited human recourses but a lot of ambition, driven by entrepreneurship. We saw the exploration in the EMEA market pay off by distribution growth and existing distribution evolving in OEM cooperations plus exponential sales and market presence. As a result of this, the team grew from 2fte to 11fte in little over 3 years, totaling annual sales in double digit USD millions. In a very short period of time I have successfully been part of the establishment of a whole new market. Involving myself in purchasing, price level establishment, marketing, budget monitoring, stock level determination, building relationships with both Aftermarket distributors and Original Equipment Manufacturers, hiring new personnel and the development of new market specific product. We now can conclude that this venture has matured very rapidly, successfully establishing a profitable business structure with solid market presence and recognition.
