Lead any financial discussion with key stakeholders (i.e. clients, suppliers, banking community, etc…) for the U.S. operations. Develop and implement financial initiatives to improve the working capital. Active member of the pension committee, managing the interest rate risk and providing guidelines on developing investment strategies. Oversee the cash management for the U.S. operations. Oversee the lease portfolio, around 20 counterparties. Manage the securitization program (sale of receivables). Find and execute local credit lines to cover working capital needs with financial institutions from the U.S., Europe and Mexico. Manage the letter of credits portfolio.

Completed a project to increase the potential clients for CEMEX in Germany. Analysis based in distribution channel, adding to the current database clients in the Netherlands, Sweden and Norway. Analysis of ready-mix industry in Germany, and suggestions to increase profitability through lose of market share by walking from some markets.

Trader of an 8 billion USD Interest Rates and Currencies Derivatives Portfolio (i.e. Forwards, interest rate swaps, cross currency swaps, swaptions, caps, floors, etc…). Led derivative contract negotiations and managed the derivatives global banking relationship (over 20 world wide financial institutions). Implemented financial strategies to change the debt profile through derivates, saving millions by creating more efficient synthetic debt. Supported the financing team in order to have access to different debt markets by supporting them in the analysis as well as in the execution of derivatives (i.e. get debt denominated in Japanese yens by the use of derivatives).

Implemented CEMEX treasury practice in 20 countries during an acquisition of a British company. The integration of 80% of the operations was done within the first four months. Restructure the team, roles and scope of the department in order to evolve to a more strategic role. Create and manage an initiative to coordinate projects from the Accounting, Tax, Planning, Legal and Finance departments.

Participated in Venture Capital competition G-Lab class in the Philippines working in a new bio-fuel (Moringa Oil)
