Jeanne Kang

Reporting to Dell's Global Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer, I'm responsible for overall ethics and anti-bribery corruption programs in the Asia Pacific and Japan region. This includes end-to-end ethics and compliance investigations, disciplinary actions and remediation, trainings at all levels, supporting executive communications to employees, compliance reviews, and other compliance programs. I also chair or serve as a key member to several global/regional/county compliance, risk management and executive leadership committees.

Joined Dell, a Jones Day client, as Legal Director to build up a Beijing-based team with legal and contracts professionals in order to advise and support a $5 billion plus business including Greater China Consumer & Small Business (Retail, Online, E-commerce, etc.), Channel, Midsize Enterprise Market, Service, Software & Peripherals, Marketing, Customer Support Centers, Procurement, Compliance and Regulatory; established and chaired China Crisis Risk Management Office; sitting on the staff, served as counsel and strategical partner to Dell China President and his leadership team; led key corporate project negotiations on behalf of Dell Inc. and critical litigations in China.

Being one of the first associates in the M&A group, I helped to build up Jones Day's general corporate business in the field of technology, real estate, construction, railway, service and manufacturing. Qualified in both US and China, my specialty includes joint ventures, foreign direct investment, cross border M&A, large infrastructure project, technology transfer/license, financing, government/SOW projects, employment and tax.

Transferred to U.K. headquarters as part of a global young executive program. Started as legal counsel to support British Telecom contracts which was later broadened to worldwide procurement and data protection/privacy. Back to China after 2 years to serve as the head of Legal & Contracts Department.

Responsible for bidding preparation, contracts review and negotiation in large telecom infrastructure deals; served as company secretary for 10 plus Marconi entities, JVs and offices in China.
