Protandim is an antioxidant therapy is designed to induce the human body to produce more of its own catalytic antioxidants, and to decrease the process of lipid peroxidation, an indicator of oxidative stress. It is intended to combat oxidative stress to the human body by inducing the production of SOD and CAT. Oxidative stress refers to the cellular and tissue damage caused by chemically reactive oxygen radicals formed as a natural consequence of cellular metabolism.
