Set up project procurement strategy, procurement procedure, define project procurement packages with estimation allocated to each package, make procurement schedule in align with the whole project master schedule. Prepare prequalification and RFP documents, select bidders, do bidder evaluation. Negotiate with vendors and contractors to finalize purchase orders and contracts. In charge of contract management during contract execution period. Manage products and equipments quality control, expediting, payment and contract variation and closeout settlement.

Polysius is a subsidiary company of ThyssenKrupp, AG. It is specialized in supplying the complete set of equipment for cement and mineral industry. As procurement manager, mainly in charge of all the procurement activities for the newly set up Polysius Shanghai Workshop project and at the same time in charge of China sourcing for non-standard equipment based on our German colleague’s design, sourcing for local materials and mechanic and electronic equipments for our overseas projects.

Procurement leader for multi-projects, such as Goodyear, 3M Cleaning Plant, General Motors, Linde, Abbott Labs, Graftech, Ford, Ancra Etc Set up company procurement procedure and policy. Working with client and engineering team to set the package strategy and procurement flow chart for all projects. Establish vendor and contract database through strict prequalification system. Manage the scheduling and cost control team to support project manager to ensure the project finished on schedule and within the budget.

Sourcing variety China/ Asia parts, finished products and equipments for Oversea Projects. Find potential vendors and prequalify them. Draft bidders list and issue enquiry documents out. Get quotes and evaluate bid documents. Prepare proposal documents to oversea clients based on preferred vendor’s quotes, QA/QC service cost and freight cost. After contract award, in charge of contract management, coordinate with vendor and freight company to ensure goods delivered in alignment with the clients’ specification, requirements and schedule.

Work on Shanghai Krupp Stainless Project and Bluescope Steel China Coating Project. Activities include preparing prequal and tender documents, preparing tender list and issuing tender documents. Involving in tender evaluation and contract award. Prepare contract documents, and execute contract administration work. Find vendors and suppliers for different equipments and materials, comparing price and place order for miscellaneous equipment and materials. Chasing up delivery and arranging payment accordingly.
