About
Passionate about building meaningful relationships, I believe the success of any business begins with its people. Over my career, I’ve learned that trust, respect, and empathy are the foundation of strong teams and thriving partnerships. With extensive experience across agriculture, trading, and supply chain sectors in Colombia and internationally, I've developed expertise in business development, financial planning, and operational efficiency. Previously, I served on the Board of Directors for Colombian palm funds, representing Tumaco, a key palm oil production region, and working alongside stakeholders on sustainable production practices. This experience deepened my understanding of the social and environmental impacts of the industry. I thrive on connecting with others and driving results that benefit all parties. My goal is to continue fostering growth through collaboration, strategic thinking, and a commitment to making every interaction count.

C.I. TOP S.A.
Cali, Colombia
As a palm oil, palm kernel oil, and co-products international trading company, we have achieved a yearly sales volume of over 180K tons, contributing to our position among the 500 largest companies in the country. My role as a team leader involves the strategic structuring and management of a team of commercial, financial, and operational professionals to drive the growth of the company. Our efforts have enabled us to effectively manage the Take or Pay contract with Cartagena port, which handles more than 600,000 tons of shipments across 80 ships. To achieve our goals, we develop and implement work plans that align with the company's objectives, establish control methodologies for operations, and implement policies that support our strategic direction. We set goals for each area of the company and seek to exceed established objectives to exceed customer and supplier expectations. Additionally, we establish improvement plans for each area to reduce and control operational costs. Some of my key achievements in this role include: • Achieving 14 points of growth in the export market share in Colombia by 2019. • Generating USD $700MM in sales between 2016 and Sept 2023. • Achieving sales growth of 271% in 2016 and 102% in 2017. • Elected as a representative of the Palm Development Fund and the Price Stabilization Fund for the southwestern palm tree area with the government meetings (including the Agriculture Ministry) in 2018-2020, 2020-2022 and 2022-2024. Furthermore, I am committed to the implementation and maintenance of sustainable palm oil programs such as RSPO, ISCC, and Organic, which are vital to our company's long-term success. Our plant located in Tumaco produces and sells CPKO and PKC, while I also work to increase credit amounts given by banks for pre-financing exports and negotiate existing rates for financial stability.

Supply Chain Director | End to End with Multiple sites Supply Chain | Veg Oils Logistics
Santa Marta, Magdalena, Colombia
As a leading Colombian business group in the palm oil industry, we specialize in the commercialization of crude palm and palm kernel oil, palm kernel cake and other byproducts. Our group comprises 6 palm extractors located in Cesar and Magdalena, which provide 100% of our production to local markets for biofuels and foods, and export markets in Europe, Brazil, Mexico and USA. Last year (2012), we sold almost 200,000 tons of oil in these markets, with sales totaling approximately US $120 million. As a key member of our team, I spearheaded the development and implementation of KPIs to control losses, parameters of quality, compliance with customers and plants of the group. I also managed the inventory of the group according to quality parameters and commercial conditions of customers, while performing monthly planning and daily monitoring of dispatches to clients and ports. By standardizing the data administration criteria of the inventories, deliveries, fleets and other important data of the group, I ensured efficient and effective operations. Additionally, I developed service level agreements with port, massive transportation company, and oil suppliers, based on hours of receipt, quantities and losses of the operations permissible. I also monitored and controlled the export operations of the company, with the formalities with the Customs Agent, Surveyor, Customs and price stabilization fund of the palm. My accomplishments include saving over US $180K in port efficiencies in 2013 and reducing the differences between the motor ships and the quantities stockpiled in port by 50%. Moreover, I led the development of the group's dispatch scheduling and inventory management system to ensure timely delivery and proper management of inventory.
