Marketing (October 2021 - May 2022) • Served as the Technical Lead for implementing a new Decisioning Engine System within USAA • Delivered production features, which consisted of RESTful web services, Kafka consumers and producers with Spring, and an ETL process for reconciling data. • Mentored and trained colleagues on REST best practices. Personalization (February 2019 - October 2021) • Served as a System Architect for the USAA Personalization program. • Assisted the business partners in identifying requirements for new functionality. • Led and planned the migration of legacy APIs to a new SCM Repo and deployment platform which allowed for CICD. • Volunteered to solve a problem which allowed me to research and learn about Decisioning Engines. Auto Experience (March 2017 - February 2019) • Volunteered to research a solution for mapping different vehicle vocabularies using Hadoop. • Led teams to build maintainable code with automated tests to ensure better quality when releasing. • Served as Lead Developer to provide technical accountability and guidance. • Headed optimization team and released multiple frontend enhancements. • Influenced business to change how they measure success of pilots/optimizations.

Innovation (July 2015 - April 2017) • Led effort to implement entire new stack of NLG infrastructure at USAA. • Leveraged Java to build UI (Wicket) and API (JAX-RS) to allow USAA to showcase their Innovation Projects (USAA Labs) • Designed and developed a money movement application which enabled users to automate saving money when their paycheck deposited into their account • Maintained/Orchestrated all release activity within the innovation lab environment.

Financial Advice & Solutions Group (September 2012 - July 2015) • Led Wicket training classes abroad for our offshore India team. • Served as technical lead for the Money Manager Enhancements project. • Mentored college hires while maintaining development workload. • Designed and developed simple tools to increase productivity.
