I was an Information Assurance Security Officer (IASO) for special projects within the United States Army for five years; innovation and developing new protocols and protective measures was essential to the position. This involved writing information assurance guidelines and acceptable use policies to the system administrators of the organization. By following Army regulators and specific requirements, these documents enforced the privileged access requirements and use policy.
