Led internal audit and consulting program of corporate minimum requirements called Value Preservation assessing compliance of businesses in North, Central, and South America with heavy focus on integrating $2.1 billion acquisition of global animal nutrition company Provimi. * Financial leader of medical device manufacturing company with $60m in revenue and 500 SKUs across 3 international and 1 domestic manufacturing plants. * Oversee general ledger accounting, month end closings, reconcilitations, accounts receivable, accounts payable, capital spending/fixed assets, and payroll. * Accountable for SOX compliance including 10K/Q and revenue recogintion. * Financial statement preparation in accordance with GAAP and analysis. * Forecast weekly and monthly P&L projections. * Annual budget creation. * Business partner to leadership on sales pricing, margins, raw material pricing, operational efficiency, SGA and working capital.

Led or participated in risk based audit projects covering all accounting and business process scopes including I/T systems JDE and SAP. Assessed controls and weaknesses across all Cargill business groups and geographies globally. Business process subject matter expert for accounting & reporting, derivatives compliance, and taxation.

Led a team of 10 finance professionals responsible for GAAP and management accounting including costing and allocations, inventory valuation, month end general ledger close, contract administration, payables, and reporting for 3 product lines with revenues of $950m annually across 10 feed manufacturing locations in the U.S. Designed a comprehensive management financial planning and analysis reporting and forecasting package supporting strategic P&L growth. Awarded business improvement of the year award. Setup a new legal entity and business operating structure covering tax, legal, treasury, HR, customs and forex in Chile to facilitate business growth in a new geography for Cargill.

Executed capital request analysis, spend monitoring, and annual allocation requests for 3 business units across 9 manufacturing plants spending $150m of capital per year. Supervised shared service team of 6 accountants responsible for capital project preparation, lease vs. buy analysis, related U.S. GAAP accounting, and corporate policy adherence. Created and led implementation of contract labor payment process improving controls and efficiency of payments for spend of $60m annually. Supervised shared service center of expertise team of 7 for capital spending at 8 U.S. locations, 3 business units, and 3 Joint Ventures including the Louisiana Sugar Refinery in New Orleans.
