Project Management of construction projects for the Local Transmission System - Pipelines and AGIs. This involves contract strategy, stakeholder management, financial control, contractual responsibilities and management of the project team. This work includes working with the Asset Management team to deliver CAPEX projects defined under the RIIO GD1 Strategy and external stakeholders on 3rd party financed diversions. Managing and implementing projects from initial preparation of the scope of work for design, managing the design process, preparing the construction tender, evaluation and award to managing the construction process to commissioning and closure.

Responsible for ensuring network compliance with regard to Pipeline Safety Regulations and Pressure Systems Safety Regulations. Develop strategies and manage risk to ensure reliability of pipelines is managed efficiently. Assist in the development of workload programmes & monitoring of performance criteria.

Network Analyst competent in the use of modelling tools for the purpose of network model build, model maintenance and evaluating new connections, load growth and operational issues. Validated the LTS network to ensure that modelled scenarios were consistent with operational experiences; assessing the reliability and ability of the network to meet its license obligations. Assessed the network storage requirements and demand forecasts to produce offtake capacity figures which support the annual gas booking process. Investment Team Leader responsible for developing and progressing the investment scheme for PRI and Offtake capacity upgrades throughout the price control review period. Managed Capacity Utilisation data for >7bar PRI’s and Offtakes. Developed capital expenditure budgets and forecasts to enable scheduling of future upgrades and raise well justified CAPEX projects, ensuring that business outputs were achieved. Carried out regulatory reporting in line with NGN regulatory Reporting Policy. Reviewed and updated Planning Policies.

Delivered various projects ranging from improvement of highway carriageways to development of school safety zones. Produced feasibility studies, site surveys, initial and detail designs; including preparation of tenders, cost estimates and budgetary control. Liaised with various stakeholders on proposed schemes and potential impacts. Managed projects through from project initiation through to site supervision, ensuring that a high standard of work was safely delivered within agreed financial targets and timescales.

Provided technical support to a multi-disciplined team of Engineers working on various highways projects from sign design to motorway widening. Provided support design of various schemes to Highways Agency Standards. Produced documents from contract drawings and specifications through to as built records using various Autodesk applications. Prouced technical written reports. Also prepared cost estimates for schemes and produced of bills of quantities for works.
