Early career in high carbon steels for wire rods,special melting techniques and sponge iron. Was a major player in India's first 100 day campaign in a 100 tonnes per day DR kiln. Participated in building India's first coal based DR integrated steel plant Corrrectly analysed the advantage of hot metal based steel plants for special steel and played a major part in designing and building Hospet Steels Ltd. (joint venture between Kalyani steels Ltd.and Mukand Ltd) Built the projects that transformed Sunflag Iron and steel Co. Ltd into a special steel company Led the successful transformation and stabilisation at JSW steel Ltd., Salem works which showed productivity in special steel at the rate of commodity steel and into India's largest special steel plant. Introduced Jayaswal Neco Industries Ltd. at Raipur to new methods that showed improvements in quality and productivity for special steel. Led ITI Mettur Dam to new methods that improved employability skills. This ITI became the best in Tamilnadu
