Jay Kenneth Usselman

The early part of my career in sales, I worked at two different lumber yards answering phone calls and helping walk-in customers. I have had numerous forklift certifications, assisted reception regularly, special ordered materials from other vendors, and learned how to de escalate a heated customer. At both of those lumber yards, they sold floor coverings and that is where I cut my teeth in the flooring industry. For other years of my job experience, I became a finish carpenter and also worked on remodels doing many different types of construction work. For the last several years, I have been running my own professional photography business full time and part time. After the Covid-19 lockdown, I got a job in floor coverings again and truly enjoy that part of the construction business. The job wasn't a good fit for me and decided to move to Las Vegas and pursue my photography more. After not finding a day job in the post Covid-19 economy after four months, it was time to pursue school again and finish my degree.
