I have a leadership style that is genuine. Although managing people and processes is the name of the operations game, I believe there is a large difference between Leading & Managing. Being a leader before a manager has allowed me to have success in my career. Through accountability, reflection, leadership, & being calm under pressure through crisis management I have been able to control the bottom line & create a safety awareness that is naturally followed by higher production results.

My most prioritized responsibility in this role was the Safety of my workforce. My time with the company was very rewarding with many challenges. Second to my priority of safety for the workforce I was responsible for ALL aspects of underground production & delays. I had a workforce of 225 men, 27 second foremen, and 3 operational trainees under my direction. Through leadership & accountability management I was able to Improve attitudes and re-create a sense of team work which attributed to much higher safety standards among the workforce & allowed my shifts safety & production numbers to increase very positively.
