Engineering change management and improvement projects

As the Manufacturing and Repair engineer of exoskeletons, I was responsible for three operators. Additionally, I have experience in carrying out the following tasks: • Establishing a reliable QMS (Quality Management System) with assembly and quality instructions in accordance with production needs. • Obtaining ISO 13485 certification • Restructuring the production area. • Implementing an ERP system (Odoo) • Implementing and training the inspection and repair process for medical devices for distribution centers in Europe, Asia, and Canada. • Developing the implementation of manufacturing a new exoskeleton. o Developing APQP for new products. • Providing suggestions to the R&D team for DFM, DFA. • Supporting purchasing and supplier development. o Cost reduction project. • Providing technical support to the sales department. • Providing technical support to customer service.

Assess potential costs of materials, labor, and equipment required to carry out construction projects, based on bids, price estimates, plans, and specifications. Establish and maintain bidding, control, and reporting systems and procedures.

As Project Manager in charge of designing and transferring the facility of a 200-employee company, I carried out the following activities: • Supervising suppliers. • Executing the project and coordinating activities. • Providing leadership. • Budget planning. • Developing the scope and objectives of the project, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility. • Creating a detailed project plan, including tasks, resources, schedules, and budget estimates. • Managing project risks, including identifying and reducing potential risks. • Coordinating and managing the work of the project team, ensuring they have the necessary resources and support to complete their tasks. • Monitoring project progress and adjusting plans accordingly to ensure the project is delivered on time, within defined limits, and within budget. • Communicating the status, progress, and results of the project to stakeholders, including management, customers, and project team members. • Facilitating project meetings and presentations for stakeholders. • Negotiating and managing contracts with suppliers and subcontractors. • Ensuring the completeness, accuracy, and proper storage of project documentation. • Continuously seeking opportunities for improvement, including developing and implementing best practices in project management.

As project leader, I carried out the transfer and implementation of a production line from France to Mexico; and had the following responsibilities. • Supervise a team of six operators and a manufacturing technician. • Suppliers supervision. • Execution of the project and coordination of activities. • Implementation and design of the production line, to meet the annual demand. • Design of manufacturing documentation and product quality (APQP). o Development of manufacturing procedures and implementation of tools. • Project progress report with stakeholders.

As Production Supervisor I had the following responsibilities: • Supervision of a team of more than forty operators and management of forty production machines. • Report of metrics and calculation of the overall effectiveness of the equipment (OEE). • demonstrated strong leadership skills in problem solving and decision making. • Root cause analysis to resolve quality issues, minimize downtime, and implement waste reduction strategies through a seven waste approach. • Implementation of the operator skills matrix to track their progress and provide training opportunities to evolve in the company.

As a Manufacturing Engineer, I was responsible for the manufacturing process of the first operations (two laser cutting machines, two presses and two welding lines), and I had to develop the following activities. • Cost reduction project. • Responsible for APQP documentation. • Implementation of engineering changes. • Implementation of welding procedures and quality documentation. • Improvements in manufacturing tools. • Redesign and relocation of the first operations area, in order to gain thirty percent of the area and have a linear production process. • Industrial engineering activities such as time taking, balance of production lines.

As a Manufacturing Technician, I was in charge of a production line where we worked with MIG welding. • I was responsible for supervising the development of projects in the asset database department of the corporation. • Implementation of ISO 9001:2015 standards, created and maintained relevant documentation such as Security Work Document (DTS), Standard Worksheet (SWS), Checklist, Visual Aids and APQP. • Ensured compliance with internal quality standards. • I managed the manufacturing processes in the production lines, which included dimensional analysis, dimensional control, design and control of tools and general control of the process. • Green Belt project leader in hardware tools development and received my Green Belt certification. • Participated in a production line restructuring project to achieve the production required by the client. • I was fundamental in the implementation of quality systems such as PPAP and APQP. • Implementation of engineering changes. • Taking of times, analysis of cycle times.

Changing flowcharts, Creating and Modifying Layouts, AMEF, Participation in KAIZEN events (modified layout to improve the flow production line, TPM robot production line, packing area improvements.) Projects and implementation of new processes, implementing vision cameras as Poka Yokes and technologies for automating lines, making beats and control of production cycles, operation manuals for different machines (Standard Work), design and implementation of improvements.
