This internship in the Psychiatry Department includes hands-on clinical exposure to mental health assessment and patient care. Responsibilities include participating in psychiatric ward rounds, reviewing patient case files, interacting with patients, and assisting in the assessment and documentation of psychiatric symptoms. The role involves working with individuals presenting with conditions such as Schizophrenia and Bipolar Affective Disorder (BPAD), providing practical insight into psychopathology within clinical settings. The internship also includes conducting and facilitating individual and group sessions, including psychoeducation focused on mental health awareness, symptom recognition, and coping strategies. This experience contributes to the development of skills in clinical interviewing, psychoeducation, risk assessment, therapeutic communication, and professional case documentation within an interdisciplinary mental health team.
