Software engineer on the team responsible for the deployment, provisioning and operational management of Atlassian's Cloud and internal PaaS RDS-based database infrastructure services.

Foundation engineer building the platform that hosted Atlassian's OnDemand cloud offering. Developed, implemented and operated a robust and scalable container-based PaaS for our cloud product (primarily Jira & Confluence) application developers. Our team ran Atlassian's hosted infrastructure datacentre footprint, and was responsible for bootstrapping hardware, networking devices, container services and management based on OpenVZ, OS and core infrastructure configuration, such as DHCP/DNS/HTTP/SMTP proxies, as well as developing the tooling required for effective day-to-day operation and observability of the platform.

Implementing high availability, disaster recovery and failover capabilities for the airline's mission-critical systems and services. Operational administration of Linux and Solaris-based core web services including web and intranet server farm, external mail gateways, DNS, airport and regional proxy servers and kiosk networks. Development and deployment of administration tools; documentation of existing and newly-implemented systems, software and services; planning, deployment and operational support for key business projects.

Programming and development of Vision6's flagship email-marketing SaaS product. Planning, provisioning and deployment of servers for production and development use utilizing tools such as kickstart and Red Hat Network. Monitoring, management, configuration administration and support for production Linux web, MySQL database, mail and proxy servers.

Installation and maintenance of Apache, PHP and MySQL web servers, and resolving customer support requests relating to web and email-hosting issues. Design of HTML templates for corporate website re-launch.
