Install and test diesel powertrain systems utilizing Omega data acquisition equipment, thermocouples, pressure transducers in Fire truck, Motorhome, Military and specialty vehicles using a combination of stationary and tow dynamometers. Test air brake systems and make changes to meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards. Review engineering drawings and CAD files to determine technical specifications. Maintain engineering fleet vehicles. Care for OEM vehicles used for engineering purposes. Account for all components stored and consumed in the engineering inventory. Develop simple design sketches for creating or modifying components. Complete component fabrication or rework based on technical specifications. Help identify areas for improvement in the design, service, and reliability of products. Help create and document test procedures

Perform maintenance and repairs to Harley-Davidson motorcycles. Prep new bike arrivals, install accessories, troubleshoot customer complaints, perform engine modifications and make fuel injection maps using a stationary dynamometer.

Lead in the resolution of complex customer and field warranty problems, including troubleshooting direction. Direct proposed solutions and improvements to processes or related systems. Lead and direct with design revisions, modifications, enhancements affecting both field and current manufacturing throughout process of correction. Complete complex testing and analysis to verify proper functionality of systems based on direction provided by engineering. Create troubleshooting documentation such as diagnostic charts and repair instructions. Lead and direct all instruction manuals, including work instructions and processes controlled by the Technical Service group. Work collaboratively with manufacturing to impact current production process, tools, equipment and design.
