Jr. Field Engineer
Argentia, NL, Canada
Worked with Husky on a component of the White Rose Extension Project, a Wellhead Platform (WHP) consisting of a 16,000MT topsides and 170,000MT Concrete Gravity Base Structure (CGS) proving drilling facilities, well heads, requisite life-support services and safety systems. Worked with the WHP project engineering team and on-site during the CGS graving dock construction on a rotational basis. • 3rd party scopes of work: inshore and offshore geotechnical investigations, • Reviewing CGS specifications and drawings • Preparing presentations for project engineers • Interface between graving dock construction contractor and engineering contractor: Technical quarry’s, RFI’s, Shop drawing submittals • Day Shift Civil inspector (QA) monitoring ongoing construction operations related to the CGS graving dock construction • Construction operations included: cut/fill operations, cut-off wall construction, piezometer drilling and installation, waterline placement, haul road construction • Various tasks required by the site construction manager, quality lead and safety lead

Jr. Structural Engineer
Houston, Texas, USA
WorleyParsons was successfully awarded the EPC contract for the 67,000 metric ton Topside of ExxonMobil’s Hebron project, a stand-alone gravity based oil platform located offshore of Newfoundland, Canada. \ • Worked with Houston’s structural engineering team on the structural design of the Utilities/Processing Module (UPM). Primarily involved in designing several secondary steel ‘buildings’ located throughout the UPM’s primary decks. • Structural steel design was in accordance with Canadian (CSA S16-09), American (ANSI/AISC 360-06) and Offshore (CAN/CSA-Z19901-3:11, CAN/CSA-Z19902-09) structural design codes and standards • Completed steel design/analysis reports for secondary steel structures • Competed the UPM primary steel MTO report • Structural design and analysis completed using the FEA software SACS including seismic, marine transportation, dynamic impact, accidental blast and operating analysis • Various code checks and hand calculations were completed using MathCAD, AutoCAD and Excel

Primarily involved in designing the primary steel of topsides 350 metric ton, 75m long flare boom • Structural steel design was in accordance with Canadian (CSA S16-09), American (ANSI/AISC 360-06) and Offshore (CAN/CSA-Z19901-3:11, CAN/CSA-Z19902-09) structural design codes and standards • Aided in completion of the ancillary module structural design basis • Structural design and analysis completed using the FEA software SACS including seismic, marine transportation, accidental blast, crane lift, thermal and operating analysis • Various code checks and hand calculations were completed using MathCAD, AutoCAD and Excel

Jr. Materials Engineer
St. John's, NL, Canada
Worked in AMEC’s St. John’s materials laboratory in the consulting industry servicing construction operations on various projects located throughout Newfoundland and Labrador. Projects ranged from large scale industrial construction projects to small scale municipal projects wither in the St John’s area or remote locations. • Laboratory testing of asphalt mix: mix design, stripping tests, marshal • Laboratory testing of soils and aggregates: gradation analysis, moisture-density analysis, permeability, micro-Deval, Los Angeles abrasion, etc. • On-site/laboratory testing of concrete: slump, air entrained, cylinder casting and compressive strength testing and mix design analysis • QA/QC (quality assurance/quality control) granular and asphalt compaction • Project management of smaller sampling and testing scope projects • Prepared draft final reports for clients
