Spent time travelling around Central/South America and improving my Level of Spanish. Experienced different cultures, economies and lifestyles.

Responsibilities included ordering and merchandising stock, liaising with reps and running a team of employees with specific goals to increase business and profitability. Huge focus on customer service. Faulty goods, returns and refunds dealt with internally to ensure customer satisfaction is kept high. Maintained and improved product knowledge by organising after hours training for staff.

Full time in Harvey Norman electrical. I am involved at all stages of the sale of large kitchen appliances. I place service calls, liaise with suppliers, manage purchase orders and stock levels, attend product based training seminars and utilise the intranet applications on a daily basis. It is a vibrant, dynamic sales environment where each employee has a large amount of independence within the business to help it grow. I have consistently met and surpassed monthly sales and performance targets helping Harvey Norman Cork Whites department to be the number 1 in Ireland.

I often had to run the shop independently. Tasks included operating the tills, customer service, stock-takes, purchase orders and dealing with representatives. I undertook a WSET intermediate certificate in wine and spirit appreciation to increase my product knowledge and job performance. I also undertook a manual handling course and an RTC course.

I have graduated from CIT with a 2.1 in Honours level Biomedical Engineering in 2012.

I learnt PRO engineer wildfire (PRO-E) in French. One project was to work with another team member in the reverse engineering of a handheld electric drill. We created a working animation of the device on wildfire. It also gave me the opportunity to study the approach to engineering in a different country and to experience the language and culture of the French.

Involved in verification of sigma line knee implants according to ISO and EU standards. Must ensure that specifications have been met before packaging items up for distribution. Proper procedures adhered to on entering, remaining in and leaving the clean room. Gained knowledge of GMP and EHS standards and protocols.

Activities and Societies: Class representative for the four years of the course. Took part in kick-boxing classes. Took part in soccer tournaments within the college.
