Once promoted to full Scientist, I continued my work advancing the product pipeline of CAGE Bio. From overseeing preclinical trials and pharmacokinetic studies in animal models, to coordinating with industrial manufactures to create GMP-quality material for human trials, I have been engaged in the technical and oversight processes in the product pipeline process. I am currently creating a new immunotherapy product from the early formulation stages - overseeing its stability studies, performing permeation analysis on an IVPT platform, handling downstream packaging compatibility, and planning clinical trials. This product is currently being transferred to a CDMO where we are initiating both a PK Study and starting efforts to launch a new clinical trial this yea.

Operating in the biotech sphere, I led analytical testing for formulation-stage products as well as coordination of the stability analysis, permeation capabilities, and product characterization for products in the topical drug delivery pipeline. CAGE Bio's novel technology engages ionic liquids in the transdermal delivery of drugs that otherwise could not be transported through the skin directly. CAGE operates on the basis of creating novel applications/mechanisms for drug delivery in the areas of chemotherapy, genetic therapy, and immunotherapy.

While leading the HPLC division of analysis, I led the creation of over 45 method development process, implemented over 20 Protocol SOP creations, and was the sole analytical chemist behind the quality control analysis of over 100 Active Drug Products and over 75 specific Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients. From Reference Standards to Over-the Counter Goods, I developed analytical techniques, purification protocols, isolation schemes, and much more. I instructed new chemists through how to operate both HPLC's and LCMS's in the development of new scientists for our Analytical Division.

Completed the analysis, sampling, and testing of both the chemicals and primary/secondary components that go into the manufacturing process of over 50 medications and pharmaceutical-grade compounds. Worked in sync with the packaging and filling departments to produce large scale, commercial eye medications.

While pusuing a graduate degree, I lead research efforts in the areas of organic synthesis for the production of drug candidates from natural products. While leading over 20 undergraduate researchers in my time at TCU, I completed libraries of compounds to work in the disruption of protein-protein interactions in disease pathways, collaborating with industrial institutions to characterize the final products, and optimizing the synthesis pathways at every stage using NMR, HPLC, and UV-Vis.

Reformulated, developed, and tested current/future wound care products including Santyl®, Iruxol®, Iodosorb®, Regranex®, and the Secura® Skincare Line. Led the development of a Navy-contracted, hemostatic bandage for in-theater battle wound therapy. Presented/Defended Practicum in Public Seminar. Created Quality Control and Quality Assurance Protocols for product verification.

I acted as the liaison between the students and the faculty/staff for the Department of Linguistics and Technical Communication. I taught classes on computational programs and led lectures and orientations on the use of many techniques in the field of technical editing and professional writing.
