Guide internal and external customers to plastic material selections, robust product designs and mold designs using 3D CAD solid modeling Creo 9, Solidworks, and Moldflow analysis. Apply project management tools such as DFM, FMEA, and APQP. Develop cost-effective mold designs, manage project milestones, tool building, and qualification. Troubleshoot, modify, and repair existing injection tools to meet customer requirements including product reliability.

Evaluated customer part designs using Solidworks 2019 and led customer focused design reviews to discuss risks and DFM initiatives. Provide domestic and overseas quotes to support sales opportunities. Ensured robust tool designs with Mold flow analysis, MFA (Solidworks 2019 Plastics Premium), and project management tools such as DFM, FMEA, and APQP. Developd cost-effective injection tools, manage project milestones, tool building, and qualification. Use IQMS for BOM, work order, PO, EC, and document control management.

Module leader for Bosch and Thermador capacitive touch control panels (including stainless steel skins, tempered cover glass, PCB board integration, cast knobs, switches, etc.) for single, double, and steam oven variants. Also responsible for all plastic parts development, tooling, and sourcing. Support test team to fulfill CSA and UL project requirements.

Established Tool Management systems for North America and Poland for the BSH laundry and dishwashing divisions. Led an international team of tooling engineers to support production sites in Germany, Spain, Slovania, China, and Turkey. Responsible for 500+ injection tools located at suppliers for BSH high volume production. Evaluated suppliers in Germany, Spain, Italy, Austria, Czech Republic, Turkey, Poland, etc. Ensured tool capacity, refurbishments, and end-of-life planning. Provided component design support (DFM) for the design team, led design reviews with suppliers and tool builders, and supported purchasing with supplier development activities, budget planning, evaluation of quotations and contracts, and identification of cost-saving opportunities. Created an improved RFQ process for the purchase of injection tools. Developed cost effective design solutions for new and existing plastic parts and injection molds using Unigraphics NX and Autodesk Moldflow.

Developed custom child-resistant closure systems according to customer needs for pharmaceutical and medical applications. Managed projects and customer communication with Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, Visio, and Powerpoint. Created design concepts using Pro/Engineer Wildfire 2.0 and PLM. Performed validation and testing using Marc nonlinear FEA, Instrom, and CMM equipment. Utilize six sigma black belt training, Stage gate, FMEA, QFD, SWOT, Minitab, scientific molding and SPC in an ISO9001 facility.
