Work with cross-functional teams to be a catalyst for continual improvement across the organization. Develop and implement processes that improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. Responsible for the transition and startup of medical device molding in what was our ECA contract manufacturing facility. Activities include overseeing the project to transfer existing equipment and processes to our GTR facility, establishing molding equipment specifications for our medical facility, establishing a white room manufacturing environment, overseeing facility transformation, and managing a production team to accomplish the manufacturing startup goals and grow the business in the area of medical device molding and manufacturing.

Continuous improvement Project management Process engineering solutions

Responsible for process improvement projects involving scrap reduction, 5S, value stream, and OEE improvements in plastic film extrusion and t-shirt style grocery bag manufacturing.

Development and publication of design, process, and tooling specifications for application to manufacturing processes according to global standards. Provide guidance and support to program launch teams on adherence to standard designs and processing techniques, equipment and tooling. Conduct manufacturing validation plans for innovation to develop new standards for competitiveness. Support program launch teams and operations on industrialization of new product and processes to meet or exceed performance requirements. Provide knowledge and support of the canning processes and equipment to troubleshoot for nonconforming product. Work with and support the business group and global teams on development and implementation of standards. Conduct concept and design reviews for all new machines and tools to ensure compliance with internal standards. Interact with suppliers and customers to present issues and data.

Responsible for management of tooling for manufacturing processes as a member of the global manufacturing engineering team and program launch teams. Scope of work is from awarded business to program launch in the manufacturing facility. Responsibilities include sourcing of tooling, design review of tooling with vendors, establishing and implementing standards for tooling, purchasing of tooling, management of tooling timelines in order to meet program launch milestones, as well as acting as the interface between the program launch team and the tooling vendors where needed. Project management is at the core of this position as well as maintaining supplier and customer relationships.
