Positions included: Club Events & Membership Engagement (January 2022 – Present), Interim Communications Director & Club Events (April 2021 – January 2022) and Assistant Events Director (November 2018 – April 2021) -Plans 45+ events a year for up to 200 people including weddings, galas, fundraisers, wine dinners, seminars, club events, private parties, week-long cruises, staff parties and more, creating floorplans, leading set up and directing the service team. -Created graphics to promote all club events and offerings and ran the club’s social media from April 2021 – January 2022, including Instagram, Facebook, and Constant Contact email campaigns. -Awarded Employee of the Year in 2019, my first year in the events department. -Brings many new ideas to the club offerings, many of which have become annual.

-Started a yearly summer program of two group classes a week and fun monthly yoga-based events like “Tipsy Twilight Yoga on the Beach,” which both gained popularity quickly. -Creatively set up where there was no studio, utilizing Picnic Point grass area, the AYC beach, and the West Deck lounge. -Created graphics and developed the program to include complimentary smoothies and beverages.

-Supervised a team of three front desk receptionists, including scheduling and training others. -Oversaw retail sales operation of custom apparel and merchandise sales, inventory and purchasing. -Updated many outdated SOPs to digital, increasing efficiency. -Managed member complaints daily with poise and a smile.

-Member facing position, upholding rules and policies while staying courteous and polite. -Oversaw pool/aquatic activities for Jr. JAYC children’s camp (ages 5-10) including conducting fitness assessments, daily group swim classes and supervising free swim. -Became Certified Pool Operator and managed operations, conducting in-service training and scheduling of 15 guards.

-Taught weekly Private Lessons for the Special Programs Aquatic Department for children of varying ages with developmental disabilities. -Specialized in children and teens on the autism spectrum, many non-verbal and some physically violent. -Developed excellent verbal and visual cueing skills all while keeping safety in the water a priority. -Customized the lesson plan to fit the student's individual needs and capacity while keeping the environment safe at all times. -Some lessons would include Red Cross learn-to-Swim skills, while others would have more aquatic therapy and rehabilitation, all depending on the student.

Taught both Private lessons and Group Lessons, for children and adults, specializing in very young students (Levels 1 and 2) teaching Red Cross Learn-to-Swim skills and water safety. Life guarded for lessons as well as Free Swim, and took on more responsibilities as interim Pool Director and Main Organizer of the Swim Lesson Program for August 2016 when those in management positions had emergencies to attend to.
